Junk in the Trunk

As I placed my Ever so Cute Magpie-Ethel Valentine Spun Head among my other holiday celebrating characters, I noticed a physical characteristic that can't be ignored.

She's got a little little Junk in her Trunk! Laurie's Misses are the Kim Kardashian of our crafting community!

Come to think of it, Laurie's packages always have a little "junk" in them as well. Inspiration Station across this Great Nation, a Junk in the Trunk banner to celebrate each holiday!

Truly, it was a wonderful challenge to look about my craft room for other junk to add to this banner. I used the Call Again tag and Mr. Wonderful hair pin from Laurie, as well as other treasures I have collected from gifts in the mail. I'll bet everyone of us has their own stash of Junk in the Trunk!

In other Paper News, I have used the last bit of my Valentine paper to create backgrounds for this adorable cowboy couple. I will put them in my pile of "Save your money to buy frames" pile of paper art! I have scanned their images for you.

I know! Purdy darn cute, if I do say so meself!"

Oh my! Looks like all of your "Junk" is taken :) I will have to be on the look out for some Junk in the Trunk at my local antique/thrift store. I love the comment by Anonymous....."I am gonna watch out for brussels."? Must be spam....that Miss Spam can be so funny. Might have to check out their wall faced toilets, too. Anyway, your banners are so cute. You are such an inspiration station yourself! Have a wonderful crafty day, Holly

ps. thank you so much for the scanned Valentine images. They will go perfect with my childhood horses that I recently dug out of my mom's attic and have displayed in my craft room.

It's a darling banner. I'm working on my Valentine banner with the vintage plastic chain. It's not nearly as cute as yours but is getting better. I keep looking at yours and redoing it. Next year! It's like a charm bracelet - it takes some time! xo Nancy

What a great idea! I have so many "little bits and bobs" around - and this would be a good way to use some of them up. It's fun to stop by for a quick visit on my "recess" time!

Of course that's okay, Elizabeth, and thank you. I changed up the banner yesterday and must have been putting up a new post when you stopped by just now! By the way - I put up a picture of my Valentine from you last night as my Facebook header. I didn't even get a chance to say what it was before everyone was saying how fabulous it was! I hope you know how many people you inspire. xo Nancy

I never thought of my gals as a Kim Kardashian..but they do have some junk in their trunks. (better them than me!)

Always fun to see what crafting you are up to!

If you would decide to sell your Valentine Luv Bug (the one with the blue hair you made) I would love to buy it from you. I had Laurie (Magpie Ethel) make me a Luv Bug for Valentine's Day. My mom used to always sign her name to my dad's cards "Luv Bug". So I always collect them when I see them.

Thank you Elizabeth for the cowboy & girl images! I'm collecting cowboy/girl valentine images to make a cowboy theme valentine garland! Also have I just not been paying attention or is that a new metal doll house peeping beside your easter tree? Have you been bit by the Kim K-bug? Tehe! :)
